Job role: Panel Wirer / PCB Assembler.
Location: Near Burton Upon Trent.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Opportunities for overtime available).
Hours: 7am-3.30pm Mon to Thurs, 7am-12pm Friday,
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Panel Wirer / PCB Fitter to join our production team for an exciting new project starting in September 2024. In this role, you will ensure that all items are manufactured to a high standard in accordance with current drawings and instructions. This position is critical to the successful completion of a large-scale order, and we're looking for someone who can meet tight deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and modify steel racking in preparation for the project.
* Strip out and remove existing circuit boards/PCBs from historical frameworks.
* Install pre-purchased equipment and circuit boards into electrical racks using technical drawings.
* Collaborate with engineering to produce wiring harnesses for initial units.
* Perform hard wiring of electronics racks from technical drawings, transitioning to installing prebuilt wire harnesses in the future.
* Apply your technical knowledge in soldering, wire crimping, and pin-to-pin testing.
* Conduct electrical testing and ensure all work meets stringent quality standards.
* Complete all required documentation and apply quality stamps where appropriate.
* Participate in 5S activities and ensure all work is carried out in a clean and organized manner.
* Adhere to all health and safety obligations, report any safety concerns, and support the maintenance of ISO (9001, 14001, 45001) standards.
* Work as part of a team to deliver the contract within tight turnaround times.
Person Specification:
Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Service (Preferred)
* Previous experience in the rail or automotive industry (Preferred)
* Familiarity with IPC 7711C-7721C (Requalification provided on-site as part of training)

* Self-motivated team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Organized, structured, reliable, and punctual.
* Good vision and colour differentiation ability.
* Able to work in a physically demanding and ever-changing environment.
* Manual dexterity and flexibility to work within electrical cabinets
