As a Staff Accountant, you will provide support in carrying out daily accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets
Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial processes and procedures
Prepare and submit accurate tax filings and other statutory reports
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required
Life Science industry experience preferred
7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the biotechnology industry
Proficient in financial software and ERP systems - QBO, Netsuite, Sage, SAP, Xero etc
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
