SEND Teaching Assistants Needed
Hackney & surrounding boroughs
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £86 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
A number of special educational needs (SEND) schools in Hackney and nearby boroughs are currently recruiting for SEND Teaching Assistants. These roles range from flexible daily supply work to short-term and long-term positions. The schools support a wide variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

What We Offer:

Flexible work opportunities: daily supply, short-term, and long-term placements
Competitive pay: £86 - £100 per day, depending on experience
Full-time or part-time positions available, based on your preference
Opportunities to work in SEND schools across Hackney, Islington, Camden and Haringey
Both primary and secondary SEND school options

Requirements:

Eligibility to work in the UK
An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (Child and Adult), or willingness to apply for one
Previous experience working with children, ideally within an SEND setting
Understanding of SEND and proven experience in supporting children with additional needs
Strong classroom management skills, curriculum knowledge, and effective communication
