Unique School Solutions are looking to register Pastoral Managers to help support schools throughout South Yorkshire.
The job of a Pastoral Manager can vary dependant on the school but will always have a standard minimum expectation throughout all schools - To lead on the Pastoral welfare of either a particular year group or across the whole school.
Other expectations of a Pastoral Manager can include:
* Managing a team of staff who support students either in class or on a 1:1 basis
* Carry out welfare checks on students
* Attend various meetings including CIN or LAC meetings, internal school meetings, meetings with parents/carers/external agencies etc
* Monitor attendance, behaviour and progression
* Liaise with Senior Leadership Teams/SENCO, as well as parents/carers/external agencies
* Plan and create individual learning plans for at risk/vulnerable/disengaged students
In order to apply for this kind of role you must:
* Have previous experience such as Head of Year, Pastoral Manager, Head of Child Services - Within the last two years
* Have an understanding of KCSIE guidelines, Safeguarding policies, SEN policies etc
* Have experience of attending child related meetings
* Be a good communicator
* Have strong timekeeping and organisational skills
* Be immediately available
* Have passion for the job
* Have a Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one
