A market leading financial client based in Bromley/London require an accomplished Infrastructure Engineer to join them for an exciting and challenging engagement.

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer with PM (DevOps / Python)

Duration: 12 months fixed term assignment

Location: Bromley/London (3 days week on site)

Start: Immediately

Salary: Circa £102k/ Annum extensive benefits (as below)

Experience and Skills required:

hands on experience in Unix/Linux
Experience in Python - or similar scripting
OOD - Object Orientated Databases
DevOps - Automation / Capacity and Performance monitoring and analysis - Grafana/Kibana/Elastic
Working knowledge in Grid migration projects - On-Premises and Cloud (Azure experience)
AMPS - or similar Messaging layer
SQL databases/grid compute/cloud/JIRA/ITSM
Project Management and/or Infrastructure / Technical Delivery experience preferred.
Financial Services experience would be preferred but not essential.
Experience within DevOps background or L3 application support or infrastructure technical support background is essential.

Desire Skills:

Experience in Quartz.

Responsibilities:

Hands on technical role will need to analyse & review capacity related to infrastructure provisioning projects and grid migration projects.
Manage projects that involve multiple service divisions.
Manage expectations of both infrastructure management and clients
Ensure routine client requests are handled and problems are addressed.
Verify infrastructure components are delivered on time and to the agreed specification of clients.
Represent BCP and ARC requirements and large-scale programs while aligning to the bank and business roadmaps.
Work with the Client Relationship Manager, Development Manager, CTO and Core Team to articulate the vision for infrastructure, drive change efforts, and secure client requirements.
Support continuous infrastructure improvement efforts
Communicate to the client on things such as cost of efforts, delivery dates, and use of external consulting teams.
Translate and communicate infrastructure and client business priorities.
Facilitate billing, reporting and cost effectiveness support
Perform initial steps for escalations, researches and prepares follow ups.
Own and track infrastructure implementation tasks for business-driven projects
