Our client is a privately owned; leading healthcare technology company with over 20 years in the industry. They provide new modular medical spaces, mobile theatres and building service installation/ maintenance works to live clinical environments across the UK.
The Project
As a highly experienced Site Engineer, you will have an important role within the management team on a £30m new build hospital extension in South West London. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, establishing site reference points, and managing on-site operations. You will collaborate closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure strict adherence to design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Your focus will be on ensuring the project is completed efficiently and to the highest industry standards.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
SMSTS and/or SSSTS
CSCS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Extensive background in the industry with at least 5 years of experience of operating in a Site Engineer position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractor
Experience working on projects within the healthcare sector is advantageous however all candidates with a portfolio of working on medium-large scale projects are of interestAdditional skills;
IT Skills
Excellent attention to detail
Effective time management
Competent surveying techniques
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Skillful in maintaining high quality standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in utilising construction management software, CAD tools, and other relevant technology

Surveying
Quality assurance
Generate as-built surveys and record data
Analyse and execute technical drawings, plans, and specifications
Offer technical guidance and support to both project team members and clients
Collaborate closely with the team to facilitate seamless project implementation
Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of all site personnel
Collaborate with other members of site staff to set up and uphold project schedules
Identify and address any technical issues or challenges encountered during the construction
Conduct site surveys to establish reference points, lines, and levels for construction activities
Execute quality control protocols to ensure all tasks adhere to required standards and specifications
Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure they comply with design specifications and project plans
Implement and oversee compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and environmental standards
Support the acquisition of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and are delivered on schedule
Prepare and present regular progress reports, updates, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders
Maintain detailed and accurate project records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
Oversee and coordinate the testing of materials, equipment, and systems to ensure they meet required standards and specifications
