This is a Temp to Perm opportunity
Details:
Reporting to the Business Coordinator the Labourer will be responsible for all goods in and out of the busy warehouse as well as maintaining standards of cleanliness and ISO9001/HACCP procedures within the stock control area.
Our business provides deliveries via our own local area van and via a national courier network. Formed in 1988 as a family business, We have continued to grow while still enjoying an unparalleled reputation for quality and customer service. Our total accuracy of goods in/out plays a key part to our customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accepting goods into the warehouse.
* Allocating stock to warehouse shelving whilst ensuring stock rotation and oldest stock out first.
* Accurately keeping records of inbound delivery vehicles.
* Accurately picking stock for goods out and liaising with office team to ensure carrier and local area deliveries are picked timeously.
* Safely and securely packaging carrier consignments to ensure the goods arrive in a satisfactory standard after transportation by a third party.
* Inputting carrier consignments onto web-based manifest databases.
* General housekeeping of the stock control area to ISO9001/HACCP standards and updating records accordingly.
* Assisting engineering team with movements of equipment. Accurately recording equipment inbound both for service and for stock.
* Grinding coffee beans and labelling where necessary. Packaging of sample products for customers (food safety training will be provided).
* Weighing, packaging and sealing “hand packed” retail bags of coffee.
* Providing holiday cover for the delivery driver.
* Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of our fleet of vehicles.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
* While some training can be provided ideal candidates will have, or be able to demonstrate the following
* Accuracy in your work
* Ability to work autonomously
* Attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Computer Literacy (SAGE experience is not essential but experience of working with computers would be preferred)
