Site Project Manager - Retail- Fixtures & Fitting Installation
Are you a site manager or project manager with experience of managing the installation of fixtures and fittings for retails stores?

We are recruiting for the the role of site project manager on behalf of a creative, commercial and retail design company, who design, manufacture, and install retail stores and commercial spaces for some of the world’s largest sports and luxury brands.

As a Site Project Manager, you will plan and deliver smoothly-run jobs that ensure their Client’s stores look and perform their best, developing and maintaining effective client relationships, establishing trust and clarity in the delivery of their objectives. You will ensure that project requirements are captured, agreed, documented and delivered to the highest of standards.

Role overview:

* Responsibility for managing the sourcing and installation of fixtures, fittings, graphics and navigational signage systems to multiple retail store fit out projects.

* Management of end-to-end processes from receipt of approved store plans, determining scope of works and sourcing parts, to delivery, installation, quality management and sign-off ensuring that each project is running on time, on budget and to a high standard.

Key relationships

* Responsible for project delivery within multiple retail stores, managing communications and expectations with external project teams (clients and principal contractors etc.) and internal departments, with support where required from an internal project management team.

* Attendance of meetings relating to site scoping, store design, graphics, manufacturing, logistics and installations where required for each project. Taking ownership of actions and distributing workload reasonably between own capacity and wider project personnel (either internal or external).

* Responsible for translating client briefs into accurate, achievable delivery plans. Ensuring correct identification of the requisite products and their codes, determining correct quantities and defining specific project needs for validation by the client and internal stakeholders.

* Contributing to project cost estimations at design stages, along with creation and maintenance of site delivery and installation programmes with associated site resource requirements. Feeding scheduled dates into a master programme of works to ensure resources can be managed collectively across the business.

* Responsible for fulfilling assigned projects by effectively managing own time and that of the wider project team (either externally or internally). Define and manage scheduling of all RAMs and project-specific activities in line with deadlines derived from programme requirements.

* Frequent liaison with internal teams to ensure an on-schedule fulfilment of all requisite fixtures, fittings and components. Liaise with warehousing and/or logistics providers to ensure timely collation and dispatch and with on-site personnel to brief-in works and ensure adherence to planned delivery and installation programmes.

* Responsible for producing and maintaining site-derived reporting. Daily contact with lead fitters to be collated into weekly site reports for both client and internal stakeholders. Ensure progress against planned schedules and document receipt/completion of all project deliverables right through to site handover to the client PM team, also documented.

* Responsible for collating and managing to resolution any snagging and/or additionally requested works. Ensuring that learnings from site are captured and fed back to the appropriate teams by arranging and orchestrating post-project feedback meetings.

* Responsible for accuracy in the maintenance of business operational system data (ERP system and Monday com or similar BI tools).

* Adheres to all company principles and policies and is seen as a role model for best-practice ways of working and professional conduct.

Skills:

* Extensive experience of the retail construction industry (or similar), from interpretation of design, understanding of fixtures and fittings, procurement and project management to logistics and installation skillsets

* Maintains an in-depth knowledge of current client-derived store standards and relevant localised legislative regulations to ensure compliance is delivered every time.

* Class-leading communication skills through verbal, non-verbal and written approaches across a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal team members, 3rd party suppliers/contractors and direct-to-client relationships, altering communication style to suit the audience

* Relationship management ability observing and adhering to end-to-end process and achievable objectives

* Organised, methodical approach to distilling macro-level programme goals into detailed project-specific objectives, successfully obtaining buy-in from relevant internal teams and external suppliers/contractors

* The ability to pro-actively work under pressure and against deadlines, adapting to changing circumstances, problem-solving and making informed, considered decisions

* IT skills; Proficient in the use of MS365 (Outlook, Excel etc.), ERP systems (Orderwise, Business Central etc.) and BI Systems (Monday , Airtable etc.)

* Travel to suit project-driven milestones and locations. Full Driving License required
