Key Responsibilities of a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-on-one or group support to SEN pupils, tailoring learning materials to their needs.
Assist the class teacher in ensuring an inclusive and engaging classroom.
Collaborate with the SENCO and other specialists to implement individualized education plans.
Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and engagement of all students.
Support pupils during lessons, break times, and other school activities.
Help prepare resources and materials to enhance learning experiences.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a calm, adaptable approach to meeting children's varied needs.
Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are a plus but not essential.
Flexibility to adapt to different learning challenges.
Local Commute to Bedford
Holds a full driving license
