Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)

Salary: £49,000 - £53,000 per annum (DOE/Shift)

Location: Oxfordshire

Contract: Fulltime, Permanent

Shift (2 options available):

Shift 1: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am, No Weekends (£53,000)

OR

Shift 2: Double Day (£49,500)

Duties of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

Shift based Electrical Maintenance Engineers will be on a 3-shift pattern within the Packing function. You will be predominantly assigned to lines and will be responsible for driving line performance (corrective/breakdown maintenance and proactive line improvements).

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be supporting and coaching operators to make the required interventions and adjustments to maximise productivity. By working at source with Operators it enhances improvements to be made.

Be a part of the reliability improvement team by working closely with the maintenance planning team and the production engineering team to prioritise projects and initiatives to increase productivity and mean time between failures.

Days based Electrical Maintenance Engineers will have a bias on planned maintenance, preventative and curative as opposed to reactive issues.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

To undertake Preventative Maintenance (PM), Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and breakdown work as required.
Take an active part in planned maintenance and repair of Plant and Equipment.
Be part of the site responsible persons team (to include part of the Fire response team for site and electrically trained to a suitable level).
To work as a close-knit team to actively drive the resolution of plant breakdowns and resolve running issues, operate with a high level of autonomy.
Support and drive packing line format change overs and identify improvements to reduce the change over time in future.
To assist, support and implement Project work when required. Be a link between the project and the maintenance team through, for example, implementing new PMs for new equipment and establishing correct spares coverage levels.
Maintain good levels of housekeeping in all areas.
To attend and actively participate in OPS/production meetings and RCA sessions. Report plant status and identify escalations as required.
To actively support the operational team to meet volume demands.
Active use of SAP to log breakdown data, correctives and booking parts out of Stores.
Take accountability for your own ongoing development with a demonstratable plan.

Skills of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Time served apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical discipline or be multiskilled
Expectation to become fully multi-skilled
Knowledge & experience of all relevant technologies and equipment
Minimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent qualification in engineering
Experience and use of SAP maintenance programme
Demonstrate good understanding of relevant industry standards for Mechanical & Electrical engineering
As part of a small working group the successful applicant will be expected to be self-motivated, a team player, flexible and prepared to take on a range of responsibilities without the need for supervision
Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming and associated networks would be an advantage
