The Company
This Construction Managers role is with one of the UK’s leading main contractors. Operating primarily in the new build sector with projects ranging in value from £10 - £500m. Typical project types span most private and public sector works and this role is within their Southern division that covers London and Home Counties
The Role
The initial project that you will be working on is a major new build data centre scheme in East London. For this role it is essential that you have previous new build experience on either data centres or major steel frame projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring that the project is built safely, economically and within the agreed timescales whilst delivering quality.
* Ensuring that both sub-contractors and resources are allocated effectively.
* To work in close cooperation with the Project Manager and other professional disciplines on all aspects of the construction project.
* Manage Health & Safety and proactively work with the Health & Safety department to ensure standards are maintained.
* To develop and monitor short term works programmes, e.g. area or trade specific.
* To carry out forward planning identifying issues that could affect the programme / project
* Have an understanding of M&E systems and their integration with building trades.
* Be conversant with common management and programming technology.
* Be suitably experienced to recognise quality issues on site and be able to implement rectification measures.
* Interpret specifications and ensure compliance on site
* You must also hold an SMSTS, CSCS, 1st Aid, and Asbestos Awareness as a minimum.
