Job Role: HGV Technician

Working hours / days: 07:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday
Annual Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Job description:

Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established workshop facility that specialises in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance.
At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on a Monday – Friday DAY SHIFT.

You will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor unit and everything in between.
A significant part of this role will be preparing the vehicles presented to you for their MOT inspections.

Daily duties:

* Inspection, Service and repair on a mixed fleet of Trucks

* MOT inspection and preparation of the fleet. MOT presentation and road testing if you have a heavy vehicle licence

* Ensure that the care and condition of all Company equipment is maintained and report all defects/damages

* Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements

* Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy

Working Hours / Rates:
This role is available on a straight Monday – Friday DAY SHIFT
07:00 - 16:30 with half an hour unpaid lunch break
Basic salary of £43,000 - £45,000 with overtime available paid at £28.84 per hour.

What we need from you:

* Completed an HGV/LGV apprenticeship

* Detailed experience in HGV Service, maintenance and repair of Trucks, Trailers and lifting equipment

* Your own tools

* Full UK driving license

* Class 2 driving license would be beneficial but isn’t essential for this role
