GPR Scanning Specialist
Salary: Open + Bonus
Location: Must live within 50 miles of Houston, TX
Responsibilities
- Performing subsurface utility locating and or concrete scanning tasks on project sites using but not limited to ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic detection technologies.
- Concrete Scanning: Tasks include scanning concrete structures for structure reinforcing such as rebar, post tension cables, and wire mesh. Scan for additional hazards such as conduits. Physically mark detected items onto the scanned concrete structure and generate a written report.
- Subsurface Utility Locating: Tasks include accurately locating underground utilities such as electrical, communications, gas, sewer, and water. Once located, mark detected items directly onto the ground, collect data with GPS, and generate a written report.
- Knowledgably respond to customer inquiries.
- Maintain detailed and organized project portfolios from start to finish.
- Driving to and from project sites while ensuring the safety of company vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic technologies (if required).
- Physically capable of carrying 60lbs.
- Ability to walk long distances.
- Ability to work on knees for extended periods of time.
- Able to work nights and weekends if required by the schedule.
- Ability to travel out of town for a few days per month.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Able to pass a drug screen.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to adapt to various onsite conditions, ie Scope change, weather, and customer's objectives, etc.
- Basic Microsoft 365 and Google Earth skills
- U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience with Utility Locating and Concrete Scanning.
- OSHA 30, TWIC and Lift Training.
