Finance Manager
Location: Deptford, SE14
Salary Range: Up to £60k depending on experience.
We are a leading and independent waste management and recycling company, committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. With a strong presence in the industry, we specialize in the reclamation and processing of diverse waste and recycling streams, including plastics, cardboard, wood, and more.
The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the company's financial health and stability. This role involves managing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing strategic recommendations to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly reporting deck (Cash flow forecasts, P&L, budgeting, etc)
* Day-to-day Book-keeping using accounting software Xero
* Accounts Receivable management/Accounts Payable management
* Ad-hoc finance duties as per the business requirements
* Monthly Payroll review and filing
* Pension Administrator for x 2 companies
* Bank Reconciliation x 3 Companies
* Preparation of VATx3 companies
* Assisting in the development and execution of financial plans and strategies.
* Managing and overseeing the work of the Accounting & Finance department.
* Providing and interpreting financial information to managerial staff.
* Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
* Analysing change and advising accordingly.
* Formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
* Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
* Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
* Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure, preparing management reports
* Checking and authorising weekly supplier payment runs and BACs payments
* Preparing monthly profit and loss reports and reconciling balance sheet
* Producing monthly management accounts and variance to budget reports
Requirements:
Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
Over 5 years’ experience working in Finance
Technical accounting knowledge
Experience using Xero preferred
Knowledge of Direct Debit portals / merchant card services accounts preferred
Excellent Excel Skills
Fluent in English Speaking
