Our client who are a leader in the commercial vehicle sector are seeking an experienced Regional Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance Advisor to join the team. The organisation is reputable, longstanding and well known in the industry and puts employees at the forefront of all that they do. With endless support for development and training.
This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and demanding stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, and having a free, unrestricted opportunity to have a real impact in the role.
The role of Regional Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance Advisor will be to implement Health, Safety, Environment and Compliance standards throughout the business. Monitor compliance standards achieved and devise practical solutions that can be implemented by the job holder and managers in order to control business risk exposure and minimise the consequences of incidents and accidents

Duties to include:

Promote, advise and guide the Dealership teams on all aspects of Health Safety and Environmental responsibilities and ISO compliance.
Provide leadership, support and training for location Health, Safety advisers and dealership teams
Undertake full HSE and Compliance auditing twice per year at each location and recommend corrective actions for local implementation.
Undertake ISO9001 & ISO14001 audits at each location annually and recommend corrective actions for local implementation
Review the regions exposure to HSE risks and identify and implement where appropriate the necessary corrective measures
Undertake accident investigations as required and monitor data in order to highlight causes, identify remedial actions and reduce risks
Monitor the implementation of HSE and Compliance initiatives to ensure that expected results are achieved and benefits realised
Undertake and implement projects and initiatives in order to improve HSE & Compliance standards
Monitor the performance and service provided to the business by our occupational health advisors
Highlight breaches of HSE policies and Compliance procedures and escalate to appropriate level of management.
With key areas of focus:

Undertake HSE & Compliance audits according to agreed schedule
Compliance with HSE & ISO standards
Level of achievement by dealerships of Risks Assessment Operating standards
No of accidents/incidents and days lost due to injuries at work
Level of Employers liability injury claims year on year
Volume of training and communication activities completed
Achievement of HSE & Compliance annual targets
Timely resolution of defect notices and non-conformance matters. Desired attributes:

BSC, IOSH, NEBOSH NGC, NVQ or other formal safety qualification
Communication/Influencing skills
Presentation skills
Knowledge of current legislation & ISO Standards
Project Management
Team Leadership
