Based in the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, 11-16 Comprehensive school is very much a school of choice and has been over subscribed for many years.
It’s often commented on the family and friendly atmosphere within the school.
About the role:
Subject: Science
Timetable: Full time
Start: September 2024
Duration: February Half Term
Key stage: KS3/KS4
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in teaching Sciences to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
* Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning experiences.
* Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
* Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
* Supervise and support the work of teaching assistants and other support staff.
