Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Islington. This full-time position involves working 1:1 with a child who has Autism and is non-verbal, starting at the beginning of October.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to a child with Autism in a mainstream classroom.
Assist the child in communicating through PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) cards.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the child's individual needs are met.
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the child's communication and learning style.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with Autism, particularly non-verbal children.

Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
