Vertical Recruitment is excited to be exclusively retained to recruit for a leading, dynamic multidisciplinary consultancy. They are seeking Senior to Principal Electrical Design Engineers to join their expanding team in central Manchester.

This consultancy works with a wide range of prestigious private and public clients, offering an impressive variety of projects. Current projects include 70+ storey tower in central Manchester, carbon-neutral schools across the region, numerous high-spec student accommodation blocks, luxury London hotel refurbishments, and major manufacturing developments.

Operating from state-of-the-art, luxurious offices in a prime central Manchester location, the company employs over 1000 people across 13 UK Cities, with 120 professionals in their Manchester office. As part of their Building Services team, they are set for a period of significant growth over the coming years.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with design teams from feasibility through to project completion and handover.

* Work closely with clients, structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.

* Attend project and technical meetings.

* Ensure compliance with legislative and safety standards in all designs.

* Advise on energy conservation and environmental impact reduction.

* Design site-specific equipment when required.

* Review contractor proposals and inspect building system installations.

* Manage a team of 8 engineers, including graduates and assistants.

* Use CAD and BIM tools (Revit), Trimble (Amtech), Dialux, and other software to design project-specific systems.

Experience and Skills Required:

* A degree in Building Services or a related qualification.

* 8+ years of experience in a consultancy role.

* Chartered or working towards chartered engineer status is ideal.

* Strong communication skills to bridge complex issues between clients and project teams.

* Technical proficiency with design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech.
