Sales and Account Manager (Cleaning, Hygiene & Janitorial Products)

Location: Home/Mobile Based (with one day per week in Leicester office)
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience) + Regional Profit Bonus
Benefits: Company Car, Fuel Card
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

About the Role:
Our client, a leading supplier of cleaning, hygiene, and janitorial products, is seeking a dynamic Sales and Account Manager. This exciting role is focused on managing existing accounts while driving regional sales growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for around 80 accounts, with an expectation of conducting approximately 10 client visits per week.

The role will be home/mobile based, with the requirement to spend at least one day per week in the company’s Leicester office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Achieve Sales and Profit Targets: Consistently exceed regional sales and profit targets.

2. Account Management: Take direct ownership of allocated area accounts, managing relationships and expectations.

3. Data Maintenance: Keep customer and prospect information up to date in the ERP system, in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.

4. Customer Review & Growth:

* Lead customer review meetings.

* Drive customer sales growth through effective strategies and activities.

* Conduct site surveys, audits, and support visits.

* Provide on-site and on-screen training where necessary.

* Investigate and resolve any customer complaints efficiently.

5. Call Cycle Planning: Develop and maintain a regional call cycle plan, ensuring regular contact with all designated accounts.

6. Collaboration: Work with various departments, including the Sales/Customer Support Unit, to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

7. Sales Development: Attend regional prospect sales meetings, identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

8. Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

9. Account Execution: Ensure all account activities align with company policies and objectives.

10. Pricing & Literature Maintenance:

* Ensure all negotiated pricing structures follow company guidelines.

* Maintain up-to-date marketing materials, samples, and visual aids, replacing them as needed.

11. KPI and Target Achievement: Strive to exceed all targets and key performance indicators, including customer satisfaction.

12. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, including absence and accident reporting, and holiday scheduling.

13. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Proven experience in sales and account management within the cleaning, hygiene, or janitorial products sector is essential.

* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage client relationships effectively.

* Experience with ERP systems for managing customer data.

* A results-driven attitude with a track record of achieving sales targets and growing accounts.

* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while staying engaged with the head office and team.

* Full UK driving licence required.
