P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting a Workshop Assistant to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for assembling and preparing mechanical components for pre-assembly and final assembly. You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring compliance with company health and safety policies.

Main Responsibilities:

* Assemble and prepare items for painting.

* Inspect, prepare, and assemble painted components.

* Perform leak testing on components.

* Carry out general workshop/housekeeping and stores duties.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Basic use of hand tools.

* Valid driving licence.

* Mechanical experience gained through previous employment or personal pursuits. (Desirable)

* Forklift licence (training can be provided). (Desirable)

* High school education or equivalent. (Desirable)

Working Hours and Benefits:

* Monday – Friday 08:00 - 16:30.

* 26 Days Holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays.

* This position is eligible for overtime, providing additional earning potential.
