Summary

£49,500* - £70,400* per annum | 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

As a Network Engineer (Stores), you'll be supporting a large and complex network and server infrastructure. From resolving critical tickets to implementing Lidl GB and international projects, you'll be essential in contributing to technical specifications, design, implementation, support and documentation from start to finish. You'll also be comfortable using automation technologies and have a keen interest in expanding your automation knowledge.

What you'll do

Install, maintain and support network & server equipment
Implement network & server automation solutions
Monitor and resolve departmental incident management tickets at 2 nd /3 rd level
Carry out software, hardware and configuration updates
Rollout and implementation of projects (For example, Server/Network Hardware Upgrades)
Change control (CAB) and task scheduling
Maintain and report SLA and KPI where specified
Produce problem reports and escalations where necessary
Update and maintain documentation and procedures
Follow Lidl best practice and procedures
Provide remunerated "Out of Hours Support" on a scheduled rotation

What you'll need

Experience supporting a large multi-site network & server infrastructure environment
Experience supporting and configuring Cisco WAN products is essential
Experience supporting and configuring Huawei LAN and WLAN products is highly desirable
Experience of supporting and configuring Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and FortiManager is highly desirable
Experience of network & server automation technologies such as Python or PowerShell or Ansible is highly desirable
Experience of supporting and configuring WAN & VPN technologies such as SDWAN & DMVPN is highly desirable
Experience supporting operating systems Windows/Linux
Experience installing and configuring server hardware
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain high quality documentation
Able to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and with good problem-solving ability
Demonstrate initiative and problem ownership
Full UK Driving Licence is desirable
