CNC Miller required for precision engineering manufacturer who are going through a large period of growth which can offer continuous training and career development opportunities to the successful candidate!!

AS the CNC Miller , you will be responsible for setting up and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines. Your primary duties will include the inspection of your own work using precision measuring tools such as Verniers, Micrometres, SPGs, and PPGs. You will also be expected to conduct in-process inspections to ensure total process control is maintained throughout the manufacturing cycle. This is a hands-on role that requires meticulous attention to detail as you manufacture components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. Additionally, you will be tasked with accurately recording and updating information about the manufacturing process on job cards to reflect the most current procedures.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a solid understanding of Heidenhain control systems, as this is essential to the role. While not required, experience with programming Heidenhain systems would be an advantage. You should hold a Level 3 engineering qualification or its equivalent, with indentures being accepted. Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred but not mandatory. We are looking for someone who is comfortable reading and working from engineering drawings and is able to set up and operate various machine tools. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also highly valued.

The Role:
*Set and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
*Check your own work using inspection equipment (Verniers, Micrometres, SPG’s and PPG’s).
*In-process inspection to ensure total process control is maintained.
*Manufacture components from engineering drawings to the correct quality standards

The Person:
*Knowledge of Heidenhain control systems (essential).
*Programming experience of Heidenhain (desired).
*Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent (indentures accepted).
*Aerospace industry experience (desired).
*Experience working with engineering drawings and work to instructions
