Our client are a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the aerospace industry. They are looking to add an experienced Mechanically biased Design Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. This would be a great fit for a meticulous individual who enjoys challenge and variety in their day to day.

Permanent position

Mechanical Design Engineer
The role will be responsible for the design of forgings, tools and dies to meet customer requirements
Design and manufacture of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to prestigious blue-chip customers.
This will involve the production of all necessary drawings and documentation to support, as well as the recommendation and implementation of any system modifications.
The role is also responsible for compiling working manuals and records to allow forging operations to be effectively carried out.
Knowledge & Experience
Candidates should have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 4 years relevant experience gained within an engineering business.
Candidates should have prior experience within a design role, strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Creo)
you must have strong IT skills, to include Mini Tab and preferably Power BI.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with metals and basic metallurgy knowledge would be advantageous

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:15pm
