P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting an Assembly Mechanic to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
The skilled Assembly Fitter/Mechanic will work on the assembly of new oilfield equipment, including assembly of hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Final assembly of coil tubing spread units and nitrogen convertor units.
Making and fitting hydraulic/pneumatic hoses including planning installation routes.
Build-up of unit sub-assemblies.
Build-up engine/gearbox/pump assemblies.
Fabrication and fitting of high/low pressure tubing.
General fitting work in our final assembly workshop building.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous working experience and knowledge within in a similar role or mechanical field - automotive, agricultural or marine engineering.
Ability to read & interpret drawings.
Mechanical trained.
Transfer mechanical skills to new tasks efficiently.
Basic Health and Safety Awareness.
Hydraulic trained. (Desirable)
High- and low-pressure tubing trained. (Desirable)
Time served apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline, that includes a technical qualification in Mechanics/Engineering. (Desirable)
Working knowledge within an assembly & manufacturing environment including the preparation of components. (Desirable)
Working Hours and Benefits:
Monday – Friday 08:00-16:30.
