A London University is seeking a Financial Controller
Permanent position
Hybrid working ( 1-2 days in the office)
£65,000 - £67,000 starting salary.
42 days holiday

Reporting in the Head of Financial Accounts you will manage a team of 5.
The client is looking for a Qualified Accountant.
Actively contribute on all aspects of statutory accounts, internal and external audits, partnering the Head of Financial Accounts and deputising in their absence.
Preparation of funding statements in respect of partnerships operation, covering fee payments due to Franchise partners and commission payments due to agents.
Development of financial controls, processes, policies and procedures across income and expenditure areas.
Monitor the control accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring that balances are understood and corrective action is in place to reconcile accounts.
Manage the capitalisation of expenditure, securing auditable records.
Assist with all internal and the external audit processes, meeting auditors and providing information to support their inspections.
Contribute to the internal monthly management accounts and external financial forecasts presented to the Office for Students, confirming balance sheet and cashflow assumptions.
Coordinate the updates required to the Financial Regulations, finance policies and processes, training finance and non-finance staff where relevant.
Act as a knowledgeable back-up and deputy to the Head of Financial Accounts.
Continuously improve individual knowledge, skills and behaviours for the current role and the longer-term.
Attend the office one day a week with the rest of the Finance team (Wednesday).Experience in the HE sector or Not For Profit sector would be highly advantageous
