Activus Recruitment are assisting our local client to source a part-time cook to join their team in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.

Opportunity:
This role provides an opportunity for a friendly, enthusiastic and quality home cook to become a member of their in-house team.
Flexible working is required which will include weekends and occasionally evening for specific events.
This lends to the opportunity for 2 people to job share.

Role:
Preperation, cooking and servicce of food and beverages.
Commitment to deliver and maintain a high standard of quality service.

Responsibilities:

* Operate, maintain and clean kitchen and equipment

* Food hygiene and cleanliness to be managed in accordance with H&S Regulations and COSHH at all times

* Manage chilled and frozen storage and timely usage

* Maintain records to demonstrate compliance to standards

* Manage stock and suppliers for cost effective delivery

* Prepare and cook food to order from a defined menu

* Develop and cost food options for specific events

Qualifications:

* Basic food hygiene certificate

Experience:

* Commercial kitchen and food experience

* Experience in a customer facing role

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:

* Effective communication skills

* Team contributor

Desirable:

* Ability to work proactively and unsupervised

* Existing knowledge of Food Hygien and H&S Regulations

* Knowledge of catering for special dietary requirements eg. allergies, intolerances, vegetarian, vegan etc
