Salary: £14.65 an hour
Shifts: Mon-Thurs – 5.40am-1.50pm /1.40pm-9.50pm
Friday - 5.40am-11.30am / 11.20am-5.10pm

Role Purpose:
The Setter is responsible for changing over a range of injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment to produce optimum time components of the set quality required by the customer, this includes safe loading of mould tools, and all associated ancillary equipment, as well as working to all relevant health and safety standards.
The role will also provide support to the toolroom and technical department when required.

Main Role Duties / Scope:
Ability to change over tooling and equipment in the most efficient and standard process in the full range of moulding machines to support the production plan.
Try out parts after change over and submit to quality parts fit for purpose assuring that the process is set to the setting standard and process checks are all completed.
Fully adhere to the life - saving safety rules with a clear focus on LOTO and working at heights during the set-up process.
Carry out recognised planned maintenance tasks when required.
Prepare tools and equipment for set up as required to reduce the equipment downtime.
Prepare material for production runs.
Support production with the production of parts where necessary.
Start up and close-down injection moulding machines in line with manufacturer’s instructions to support the smooth running of the shift.
Work as a team member of an organised cell unit and maintain full flexibility within the Plastics manufacturing area.
Carry out all work activities in a manner which maintains the well-being of self and others in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Use initiative to promote continuous improvement, and work alongside technical team to implement.
Maintain and promote a 5S culture.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
Undertake any training deemed necessary for the role both by internal and by external bodies as full Training will be given.Person Specification / Required Skills:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and feel comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels within the business.
Candidates must have a proactive and hands on technical approach to tasks alongside high levels of problem-solving skills. You should be capable of working to their own initiatives, and competent in satisfying demanding deadlines.
Previous technical experience working with multiple injection moulding machines.
Qualified to IMT2 standard desirable.
Other Experience/skills required::
Experience with 3 axis robots, ideally Wittmann an advantage.
Significant experience working in a fast-paced Tier 1 Manufacturing environment.
High level of Literacy & Numeracy. and Computer literate.
