Our customer is recruiting for mechanical fitters for their contract at HMNB Clyde, Faslane.
Pay rate is £25.70ph plus 2 hours paid travel each shift. This is also supplemented by £40 travel allowance per shift. Overtime rates are in place for midweek overtime, nightshift, weekend, weekend nightshift and bank holidays.
Working pattern in Monday to Friday working 10 hours between 0700 and 1900.
The contract is expected to be a minimum of 6 months on site.
Experienced mechanical fitters are invited to apply for this position which is due to commence on 16/09.
Duties will include repairs and general mechanical fitter duties.
Security Clearance will be required but this will be conducted by the customer. There will also be a 4 week period of training prior to commencing on site.
Minimum requirements for this role is N/SVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical) or Equivalent. Special consideration with the following:
* NC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Confined Space
* Working at heights
* Manual Handling
* Asbestos Awareness
* Abbrasive Wheels
* First Aid at Work
* Cat B Driving License
* CSCS
