Mobile Maintenance Electric Engineer (238jc) – Southampton, Hampshire & Basingstoke - £43k + Benefits

My client who has a history of over 260 years in the deliver a range of building, engineering and maintenance solutions to some of the region’s most iconic landmarks are now seeking to recruit a Mobile Maintenance Electric Engineer for its Hampshire Team.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

The company has three main workstreams: Building, Mechanical & Electrical and Maintenance. This diversity of self-delivered services allows them to offer a “one stop shop” solution to their clients. Furthermore, they have the flexibility to carry out minor works through to multi-million-pound projects.

They are incredibly proud of the part that they have played in restoring, building, refurbishing, and maintaining the capital’s heritage over the years. From royal palaces to world renowned museums, galleries, and universities, they continue to forge long-term working relationships at London’s finest buildings.

You will be reporting to the Contracts Manager and your responsible to ensure that all equipment on sites is running efficiently and to optimum level as required by their clients and the company.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

* Plan and organise personal daily electrical and mechanical work

* Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns and reactive work requests

* Fix faults on site or arrange for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed

* Make scheduled checks

* Complete electrical and mechanical tasks to ensure projects and improvements are implemented

* Manage planned and unplanned work

* Maintain documented evidence for all departments in preparation for audits, invoicing and legislative purposes

* Ensure high standards of Health and Safety at all times

* Ensure all work carried out to standard required by both the client and Sykes

* Attend training as required

* Role will necessitate some out of hours work on a call out rota, approximately 1 in 4 weeks

* Produce detailed periodic reports

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:

* Relevant C&G/NVQ to include valid Test and Inspection qualification

* Legionella (L8)

* Apprenticeship in Mechanical or electrical discipline

* Health and Safety Awareness

* Experience in a reactive maintenance as well as PPM, HVAC and knowledge in Small Works.

* Ability to work on own initiative as well as being proactive

* Ability to plan and prioritise.

* Attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work under pressure

* Excellent customer service skills

* Driving Licence

* Ideally have knowledge of CAFM system

In return they are offering an excellent starting salary, with the ability to earn extra with an enhanced overtime rate, 25 days + Bank Holidays, smartphone, tools, uniform + PPE, as well as Life Assurance, and company pension and other benefits.
