Production Design Engineer

Hindon, Wiltshire

Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Contract: Full-time (3-month fixed term contract, with the opportunity for a permanent role)

Purpose of the role

They are currently seeking a talented and driven Production Design Engineer to join their workshop team based in Hindon, Wiltshire. Reporting to the company's Systems Manager, you will be responsible for producing technical drawings to guide the cabinet-making team in the production of bespoke joinery. This role is integral to the efficient delivery of high-quality designs that meet both the aesthetic and functional needs of each project.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed technical drawings using Cabinet Vision software (training provided) based on finalised designs.
Utilise AutoCAD to create bespoke joinery details.
Collaborate with the Systems Engineer and workshop team to ensure designs are practical and can be produced efficiently.
Provide flexibility in the role by assisting in various areas as needed in a small but dynamic team environment.Key Skills and Attributes

Enthusiastic and proactive approach to work.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently when required.
Open to challenges and willing to learn.
Team player with a collaborative mindset.
NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in woodworking or related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a cabinet-making or workshop environment.
Experience in a design-to-manufacture role, producing workshop-ready drawings.
