Company Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer ( who has experience in Quality Management Systems) to join a engineering / projects company. This role is essential for managing and enhancing the quality of operational processes within the Projects and Technical Services team, ensuring compliance with company standards, statutory regulations, and legal requirements.
This role is a unique opportunity to join a nuclear company at the beginning of a growth phase in their business.
They operate in a very security sensitive environment and SC level security clearance is required. A process that for a UK passport holder will take 3-4 months to achieve.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and support the maintenance of ISO9001/ISO27001 certification.
* Provide support to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Security procedures.
* Ensure workflows, processes, and products meet quality and safety regulations.
* Develop and review management procedures, work instructions, and process flows for Projects and Technical Services.
* Implement quality standards and assurance systems for Projects and Technical Services activities.
* Maintain and review documentation within the Management System (EMS) and complete periodic reviews.
* Prepare and track the Site Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
* Generate monthly reports on QA-related topics and KPIs.
* Prepare the annual Management Review in compliance with ISO9001.
* Conduct internal audits and host external audits.
* Monitor and drive completion of audit findings.
* Contribute to quality, health, safety, sustainability, and security investigations, audits, and inspections to drive continual improvement.
* Develop and maintain a list of qualified suppliers for Core Process Technology.
* Support external and supplier audits.
* Lead and support the Quality Deviation Notification process (QDN) to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
* Support project and design quality management processes, including concession and change control.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Engineering degree or an engineering qualification.
* Experience in working in a design/ engineering environment.
* Qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance within a high-tech company.
* Proficient in Quality Management Systems.
* Excellent IT skills and computer literacy.
* Effective project management, planning, and organisational skills.
* Performance-driven with strong communication and influencing abilities.
* Able to achieve SC level security clearance.
