Job Title: Operational Resilience Consultant

Contract Duration: 6 months (Initially)

Location: Hybrid, Dublin

Role Overview:

As an Operational Resilience Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation's operational resilience by collaborating with global Business Resilience teams and managing compliance with organisational resiliency standards. You will be responsible for implementing new controls and procedures in response to regulatory changes, business feedback, operational risks, and technology advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with global Business Resilience teams to ensure alignment with organizational resiliency strategies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across various departments to manage and support Business Resilience activities.

Compliance Management:

  • Oversee and manage compliance with organizational resiliency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to key regulatory standards related to Operational Resilience, including Business Continuity, IT Continuity, and Crisis Management.

Control Implementation:

  • Develop and implement new controls and procedures in response to changes in regulation, feedback from the business, and evolving operational risks.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to existing controls to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with operational resilience, providing mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Work with risk management and IT teams to ensure that technology changes are aligned with resiliency objectives.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of operational resilience initiatives and compliance to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all Business Resilience activities, controls, and procedures.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in projects and programs related to operational resilience, business continuity, IT continuity, crisis management, security, and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of key regulatory standards and best practices in Operational Resilience.
  • DORA experience highly desirable

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with peers, management, and subordinates in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
