Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Rugby. This rewarding role is set to begin immediately and continue until January 2024, with potential for extension for the full academic year for the right candidate.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school catering to students aged 3-19 with Autism and associated needs, you will play a crucial role in supporting their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include preparing learning materials, organising classroom activities, and providing essential emotional and physical support to help students thrive as individuals.

You will work closely with experienced educators to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique requirements.

We are looking for individuals with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with complex needs, particularly Autism. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and ready to take on various classroom responsibilities indoors and outdoors. Whether leading classroom activities, facilitating outdoor adventures, or supervising students during exploratory outings, your caring and responsive approach will make a significant impact on the students' learning and development.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum)
