The responsibilities of the Test Design Engineer are as follows:

* Support the development of Automated Test Equipment (ATEs) for use on New Product Developments (NPDs)

* Work as a team to ensure design for Testability and Manufacturing for all electronics aspects of new product development.

* Perform mechanical, electronics and software changes to the ATEs as required.

* Work as a team to ensure that the ATEs are ‘fit for purpose’

* Write and issue Test specifications for related test equipment.

* Work as part of a team to ensure all new products meet the expectations for manufacturing cycle times whilst maintaining high product quality.

* Support the provision, support and management of automated electronic test systems for offshore volume production of mechatronic products.

* Support and management of on shore test systems.

* Support the test technology strategy and the roadmap for planned improvements enabling faster and more cost-effective testing.

To fulfil these responsibilities as a Test Design Engineer you will have the following skills/experience:

* Degree / HNC/HND qualified.

* Strong experience of design and maintenance of the hardware and software used in automated test systems for volume manufacturing e.g. LabView®, TestStand®.

* Preferred practical experience working with Audio products and audio test equipment (e.g. APX, Sound-Check®).

* Proactive, effective planning and organiser.

* Willing to travel globally for periods as required.
