Welder (MIG & TIG) - Permanent - Thetford
Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Welder to join our client's esteemed engineering firm in Thetford. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a family-run business that has been a cornerstone of the industry for over 40 years.
As a Welder, you will work within a small, dedicated team to create precise welds for retail clients, primarily using mild steel and stainless steel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
* Confident in managing the entire welding process, from machine setup to task completion, ensuring high-quality standards.
* Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong initiative.
* Welding qualifications are desirable but not essential.
* Adherence to all current safety regulations.
The successful candidate will have sound experience in Mig & Tig welding, within a workshop environment. The welder will be required to have own welding mask; however these will be supplied if needed.
The interview process will be a one stage interview process, this will include a weld test, from start to finish.
Position Details:
* Permanent, full-time position.
* Monday to Friday, 0700 – 1600 (early finish on Fridays).
* 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.
* Competitive hourly rate of up to £16, with time and a half for overtime.
