Do you have experience as a Chemical Operative, Process Operative or Mixing Operative working with hazardous chemicals?
Have you operated a Fork-Lift Truck before?
Our client is a growing Chemical Manufacturer with strong expansion plans and some exciting new products being developed for a range of sectors.
We have a Permanent opportunity to join the business as a Chemical Process Operative within their Production department.
You'll receive extensive training over the course of 12 weeks, working closely with Production Supervisors and a team of Process Operatives before becoming a fully established operative yourself and can then safely and efficiently carry out the below duties:
You will carry out batch manufacture of their product range.
You will carry out the retrieving, weighing, mixing, and reacting of chemical ingredients.
You will work from detailed instructions, specifications, and formulation batch sheets.
You will operate a Fork-Lift Truck (FLT) where needed.
You will keep accurate records in a timely manner.
You will ensure compliance to Health & Safety and Quality standards.Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a Chemical Operative / Mixing Operative position.
Experience working with Hazardous materials / chemicals.
Fork-Lift Truck (FLT) licence (can renew if expired).
Experience in a COMAH site and working to HAZOP/DSEAR regulations advantageous.
Location - Wigan
Shift - 3 Different Patterns
Days - Mon-Fri 6am-4pm - £12.50 per hour
Weekend Days - Fri-Sun 6am-6pm - £17.21 per hour
Weekend Nights - Fri-Sun 6pm-6am - £18.74 per hour
Note: 12 weeks training is required, which is paid at a rate of £12 per hour.
Benefits - 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + BUPA healthcare + Pension (5% EE / 3% ER), on-site gym.
