Senior Java Developer - HIRING ASAP

Rate: €350-€400 per day

Summary

Our client is looking for a Senior Java Developer to lead a squad of engineers to develop high-quality applications servicing the financial industry. You will have the opportunity to lead the delivery and design of high value investment products that support our customers in providing excellent financial solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a multi-functional team to understand project objectives, use cases and systems design requirements.
• Development of original and creative/innovative technical solutions.
• Delivery of quality code, with high test coverage, following our clients' standard processes and methodologies
• Look beyond individual business requirements considering the overall solution.
• You are a collaborative teammate who can work independently across local and distributed teams.
• Share your knowledge across the team.

Skills:

• You care about doing excellent work with excellent people.
• You are experienced with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience working with Java, Spring boot, Oracle, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS -EKS.
• You have hands-on technical leadership experience leading and mentoring scrum teams focused on building software solutions for business critical, architecturally distributed experiences.
• You are experienced architecting and producing technical designs and solutions and working with squad members to break these down into deliverable pieces of work.
• You have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence in meaningful discussions with partners across business and architecture.
• Application design & development experience across the following:

• Relational Database (ideally Oracle)
• REST API development.

• Experience with build, continuous integration, and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (eg Git, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with UI technologies (Angular, JavaScript or another UI framework) is a plus.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS in particular would-be a plus)
• Experience of Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality code, with high test coverage, following our clients' processes, standards, and methodologies.
• Ensuring systems in your assigned area are robust, resilient, and stable.
• You will ensure the end-to-end delivery of requirements or user stories meets the needs and expectations of our business partners.
• A track record of mentoring junior team members
• You will contribute to the financial health of many of our clients' customers as part of one of the teams that support the variety of business interests that achieve this overarching goal.
