Job Purpose:

The Network Architect is responsible for defining and delivering the overall Network Communication Strategy. They are accountable for the performance, reliability, and resilience of Corporate and OT networks to meet the business needs of the company.

This role will manage a team of three network professionals who will design, implement, and support our communication networks in the delivery of this network strategy and provide technical assurance to communication network products and services provided by third party service providers.

Principal Accountabilities

* Team Leadership and Management:

* Develop and implement the companies Communications Network Strategy.

* Develop and implement network policies and procedures in support of the companies Communications Network Strategy.

* Evaluate new technology and provide thought leadership within the communications network space.

* Foster an inclusive, supportive and collaborative culture within the workplace.

* Budget Management

* Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

* Project Management

* Compliance and Security

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have experience in the management of Communication Network capability and should hold a degree or equivalent industry qualifications/experience. In addition, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate drive and experience in the following areas:

Degree in IT or Electrical field or equivalent experience.

Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of communications networking:

o Telecommunications, DWDM, Optical Transport Networks, SDH

o IP network Design, LAN and WAN technologies

o Familiarity with on-prem and cloud technologies.

  • Management and Leadership: Proven track record of managing technical teams and projects. Ability to mentor, inspire, and lead a team towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex IT/OT strategies and systems to a non-technical audience.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop strategic plans for infrastructure development that align with the broader business goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the capability to anticipate potential issues and proactively implement solutions.
  • Budget Management: Experience in budget management and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of technology investments.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the regulatory environment impacting OT infrastructure, with an emphasis on compliance and cyber security
