Are you a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundworks and roads and sewers for new build residential projects?

Join our team and become an integral member of our commercial team. We are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure our projects are costed accurately, executed on schedule, and within budget.

Position: Quantity Surveyor - Groundworks

Key Responsibilities:

Tender Management: Identify and review tender opportunities, complete PQQs, and engage in pre-contract negotiations to promote commercial awareness.
Contract Setup: Accurately set up contracts, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, health and safety standards, and contractual requirements.
Performance Review: Monitor contractual performance, liaise with Directors and Contracts Managers regarding progress, quality, and dispute resolution.
Valuations and Variations: Prepare accurate monthly valuations and variations, submit financial claims, and secure prompt payments from clients.
Financial Management: Reconcile and allocate contractual payments, update rates for labour and materials, and amend contracts as necessary.
Commercial Maximization: Promote commercial awareness and maximize contract values while minimizing commercial exposure.
Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in groundworks surveying (mandatory).
License: Valid driving license (mandatory).

Job Details:

Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable depending on the candidate.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required
Location: Office based in Wigan, with travel to construction sites across the North West
