JOB TITLE:Software Engineer
LOCATION:Remote
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and maintain computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
* Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
* Collaborate with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, and resolve customer problems.
* Advise customers about, or perform, maintenance of software systems.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Proficiency in Linux, scripting (bash), Java/Python or similar, and infrastructure code management.
* Experience with GIT.
* Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
* Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Experience with Redis administration or development.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
* Experience with Ansible.
* Education/Experience:
* High School Degree and Bachelor's degree in computer science/relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
* 3-5 years of relevant experience.
