The below job description will outline this position of: Control Systems & Software Engineer

Typically, this person will someone with a background in designing marine, offshore, or sub-sea equipment, or have a strong ambition to work in this field. Practical experience with commissioning and delivering systems to clients is highly valued.

Duties and responsibilities of the Control Systems & Software Engineer:

- You will: Prepare critical project documentation, including the design basis, functional design specifications, and procedures for FAT, SIT, and SAT.
- Develop design concepts and transform them into detailed designs, covering the entire software development life cycle, including I/O lists, alarm lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices, and FMECA.
- Work closely with the Purchasing team to support equipment procurement by preparing RFQs and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to address design issues and assist in the creation of as-built documentation.
- Oversee start-up, commissioning, and factory acceptance testing (FAT), while also supporting site commissioning, integration, and acceptance testing (SAT) when required.
- Prepare final project close-out documentation, including drawing updates, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists.
- Deliver after-sales service and technical support to clients.
- Given the international scope of our clients projects, you may have occasional travel within the UK and globally
- You may support commissioning, site integration, site acceptance, and after-sales service activities.

Qualifications and requirements for the Control Systems & Software Engineer:

- A degree in Marine Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or a related Electrical discipline.
- Demonstrated dedication to technical excellence and innovation in project execution.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally on short notice.
- Offshore BOSIET training.
- Based in Middlesborough, with the chance to contribute to international projects.
