Full-Time
Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are maintained throughout the delivery of work
Day to day management of the mechanical maintenance team, including but not limited to
* Assigning work packages
* Progress chasing
* Managing priorities and arising maintenance requirements from operational areas
* Ensuring work is closed out within the maintenance management system
* Timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters
Work with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs and maintenance schedule
Interface with mechanical contractors
First line problem solving for arising mechanical faults or work delivery problems
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
SHEQ Management
1. Ensure that all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during the execution of maintenance tasks.
2. Safety – Ensure work is carried out safely and as per company guidelines.
3. Quality – Ensure job right first time, minimise rework on equipment by working to quality and performance standards.
4. Report any accidents or near misses as required by our health and safety policy.
Equipment Management
1. Supervises the maintenance mechanical technicians, directing them on mechanical breakdown repairs in accordance with the site priorities.
2. Support projects/changeovers when required.
3. Liaise with external OEM contractors to plan stat inspections and work alongside the Maintenance planner to plan future PM tasks.
Education
Essential
* HNC Mechanical Engineer/Technician or equivalent
* Time served Mechanical apprentice with a minimum of 5 years’ mechanical experience
Desirable
* Rotating equipment specialist
* IOSH
* Previous Supervisory role
