About School:

Reeson Education are working with a 1 form entry primary school based in the heart of Westminster. This primary school has a supportive team who are comitted to fostering a nurting enviroment that promotes academic achievement, personal growth and a strong sense of community. This Primary School has great transport links so is easily accessible from most of London and are able to offer onsite parking.

The headteacher is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Headteacher to join the leadership team. This is a full-time role with a salary range of L9 - L13 dependent on experience (inner London).

About the role:

As a Deputy Headteacher you will work closely with the Headteacher to formulate the school's aims and objectives, establish policies, manage staff and resources, and monitor progress. The role includes a 0.5 teaching requirement, allowing you to maintain a strong connection with classroom practice.

If the Headteacher is absent, the Deputy Headteacher will deputise, as directed by the governing board.

The Deputy Headteacher will also be expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities of a headteacher, as set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:
Work collaboratively with the Head Teacher and senior leadership team to develop and implement the school's vision, values, and strategic goals.
Lead and manage specific areas of responsibility, contributing to the overall improvement and success of the school.

Teaching and Learning:
Foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring high standards are maintained across the school.
Support and mentor teaching staff to enhance their professional development and effectiveness in the classroom.

Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students and is in line with national standards.

Staff Development:
Play a key role in staff recruitment, induction, and performance management.
Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

Parent and Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with parents, the local community, and external stakeholders.
Act as an ambassador for the school, representing its values and achievements in various forums.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of current educational policies and practices.
Dedication to promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
