We are currently looking to recruit an Inspector for our Swindon based Engineering client. You will provide Production and Quality support, for product verification of parts and components.

Key Responsibilities;

* Supporting production turning and milling sections by completing a full 2nd check, for each batch, after setting for production. This involves systematic checking of each feature of medium, small and tight tolerance components, using a range of measuring equipment.

* Interpreting component drawings and customer standards to ensure products are produced to the highest possible quality.

* The operation/running of the Co-ordinate measuring machines for certain features.

* Supporting Quality Assurance by completing internal calibration of measuring equipment.

* Carrying out routine quality and 5s audit checks of patrolled batches.

* Assisting production with queries, standards or other issues and liaising with QA.

The following attributes are desirable but not essential for this role and training will be provided for the right candidate where applicable;

* Have an engineering apprenticeship, turning, milling, or other mechanical or inspection experience.

* Able to understand engineering drawings, symbols, revisions and documentation.

* Any experience of operating Mitutoyo and Aberlink CMM Machines would be especially desirable.

* To be computer literate/confident with a keen willingness to learn new skills.

* To be self-motivated, versatile and able to work without supervision in a team environment.
