Hygiene Team Leader
Medway
£27k - £28k DOE
Monday – Friday 6am – 4pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Successful, growing Food Production company based in Medway, are looking to recruit an experienced Hygiene Team Leader on a permanent basis.
Although this is a Team Leader position, this will require you to be hands-on as it is only a small team.
As Hygiene Team Leader your duties will include:
To carry out the day-to-day hygiene checks through the production line
Liaising with various other internal teams to resolve any quality issues
To ensure that all hygiene tasks are carried out and recorded accurately
To carry out hygiene audits both scheduled and ad hoc
Undertake and support product and process improvements in order to correct and eliminate problems which may reoccur
To oversee and assist with deep clean shutdowns on heavy machinery
To work with other departments within the business to ensure standards are kept to the highest level
Supporting the Quality Control and Hygiene teams with various ad-hoc tasks when needed
The right candidate will have:
Significant hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment
Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of HACCP principles and COSHH, along with a level 2 Food Safety certificate
Able to cope in a hands-on role whilst managing a team
Flexibility to cover different shift patterns and cover others when needed
Great communication skills
Basic knowledge of IT including MS Office
A flexible and adaptable attitude towards the role to ensure prioritised work is completed
