MPI have a requirement for B1.1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to work on site at RAF Valley, Holyhead LL65 3NY

(Candidates must have B1.1 Group 1 with any type rating from Group 1)

1 position available – You may be on a 4X4 shift or a rotating early/late shift

Rate of pay is £72,000 per annum

Roles and Responsibilities:

Carry out and certify routine and non-routine maintenance including defect rectification within the line and base maintenance environment, working within both the CAA & MAA Regularity requirements.

Updating maintenance records within the company’s maintenance information software.

Supervising and monitoring the performance of engineering staff (Technicians), providing guidance when appropriate.

Support Affinity operations, as required.

Promote, endorse, and comply the company’s Quality and Health & Safety procedure.

Essential Experience:

Experience of working in a UK CAA Part 145 environment.

Experience of supervising staff.

Experience of working and certifying maintenance within Line and Base maintenance.

Experience of working closely with multi-site teams, building relationships and leveraging them to deliver outstanding performance in a highly regulated environment

Essential Qualifications:

UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence

Ability to acquire UK security clearance.

Full UK driving licence.

Essential Competencies:

Detailed knowledge of UK CAA Part 145 regulations with working practices and acceptable means of compliance within an Aircraft Maintenance Environment.

Detailed knowledge of Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Understanding of UK CAA Part CAMO regulations.

Understanding of UK CAA CAP 562 Leaflet B-40 CAA Oversight of Military Registered Aircraft (COMRA) – Policy and Principles.

Understanding of MAA regulations.

Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors, as well as in all types of weather conditions.

Fluent, both written and verbal, in English.

Essential Behaviours:

Strong team-working skills fostering a positive culture and delivering continuous improvement.

Team player with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, sharing knowledge and best practice to support the development of those around you.
