A leading UK steel company, renowned for supplying a wide range of high-quality products, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their Midlands site.
Role Overview:
As part of a dedicated 2-person team, you will work alongside a Mechanical Fitter within a heavy industrial steel processing environment. Your responsibilities will include both preventative maintenance tasks and reactive responses to plant breakdowns and repairs. Additionally, you will be involved in installation work on machinery within the factory and maintenance of bay lighting and other electrical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation work on factory and process machinery
Working with machinery such as tube mills, slitting and decoiling/blanking lines, presses, coiling machinery, and overhead cranes
Fault finding on 415v, 240v, 110v, and 24vac and dc systems
Involvement in CCT design and control panel building
Maintenance of building facilities, including testing fire alarms and lighting
Requirements:
The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will:
Hold a recognised electrical qualification
Have experience within a heavy industry or foundry environment
Possess a good understanding of electrical principles
Be capable of reading and working from engineering drawings
Have knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles
On Offer for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
A basic salary of £36,000
A rotating 3-shift pattern (40 hours per week)
Overtime available (double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays)
33 days holiday
