I am working with an excellent client who Specialise in both commercial and residential, working in multiple sector including, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, gas, heating, and plumbing. This company is looking for a new Engineer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and commission commercial heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
* Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of commercial heating systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose and repair faults in heating systems, including troubleshooting issues with boilers, controls, and other related components.
* Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to service calls, addressing customer concerns, and offering professional advice on heating solutions and energy efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including service reports, compliance certificates, and any parts used.
* Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Keep up to date with current legislation and best practices.
* Work collaboratively with other engineers, support staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Gas Safe Registration
* Strong knowledge of gas appliance systems, including boilers, water heaters, and commercial burners.
* Technical expertise in fault diagnosis, installation, and repair of gas systems.
* Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and specifications.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and gas safety legislation.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
* NVQ or diploma in gas installation and maintenance or a related field.
* Previous experience as a commercial gas engineer (typically 2–5 years preferred).
* Specific manufacturer training on commercial gas appliances is advantageous.
* Ongoing professional development, including refresher courses on new regulations and technologies.
