Our client is a dynamic and growing food/drink production company, known for delivering high-quality products to customers nationwide. They are committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in all that they do. As part of their continued growth (even becoming a regular household name, sold in most supermarkets), they are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimize their supply chain operations from sourcing to delivery.

Role Overview:
The Head of Supply Chain will oversee the entire supply chain process, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This includes procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution, with a focus on meeting customer demand while maintaining product quality and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the food and drink industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, production planning, logistics, and distribution.

* Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals and drive operational efficiency.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective procurement.

* Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste and excess stock.

* Work closely with production, sales, and quality teams to ensure demand forecasting and production schedules are aligned.

* Implement and monitor KPIs to track supply chain performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement.

* Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and sustainability initiatives.

* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

* Manage budgets and optimize costs without compromising quality or delivery times.

* Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline operations and improve decision-making.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience in a senior supply chain role (preferably 10 years with 5 within management) within the food and drink production industry.

* Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

* Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement.

* Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.

* Ability to analyse data and metrics to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

* Knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and sustainability practices.

* Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
