My client is looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to work within a dedicated R&D eMotor and traction inverters team in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
The company designs, develops and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for traction applications. As part of their UK expansion, they are looking for talented Engineers to join our Research & Development team.
The Senior Electronics design engineer will work with the development of high-performance innovative traction inverters for the automotive sector. The role involves the following:
Responsbilities
- Electronics Design of isolated and non-isolated SMPS and design of analogue and digital circuits.
- Schematics capture (Altium)
- Thermal analysis of electronics and power electronic components / circuits.
- Development of board level test plans.
- Testing of power electronic boards
Skills and experience
- Extensive industry experience working on Hardware design
- Experience with electronics design of high voltage applications
- Experience with power converters – SIC, GAN.
- Experience working on Hardware level safety analyses (FMEDA, FTA, DFA. DFMEA…etc).
- Knowledge of PCB design best practices for EMC, thermal management, and signal integrity
